The Story Behind Yogalina

It started with a nickname

The name Yogalina existed long before the first studio did.

Yoga had become such a huge part of my life that I seemed to be doing it everywhere I went — with friends, with family, on holidays, at home, wherever I could find the space. I couldn’t stop learning either. One training led to another, then another, and somewhere along the way, the people around me simply started calling me Yogalina.

The name stuck. And eventually, it became something much bigger.

From banking to the yoga mat

Before Yogalina, my world looked very different.

My background is in Banking & Finance, and I spent around ten years working in the corporate world. Yoga, movement and personal development existed alongside that career for many years, initially as something I loved, and increasingly as something I couldn’t imagine my life without.

Then the pandemic created something many of us hadn’t had for a very long time: space.

Space to think. Space to question. Space to ask myself what I actually wanted my life to look like.

I realised that if there was something I cared about this deeply, I wanted to give it my all.

And that’s where Yogalina really began.

More than yoga

Since then, I’ve completed more than 1,000 hours of yoga training across places including India, Bali, Miami, Paris and Milan. But my curiosity has never stopped at yoga.

I’m fascinated by people: how we think, how we grow, what holds us back and what allows us to become more confident versions of ourselves.

I’m also an NLP Practitioner, and coaching and mentoring have naturally become a huge part of what I love to do. Whether I’m working with a student, a teacher, a member of our team or someone building the next chapter of their life, one of the things that gives me the greatest sense of purpose is helping people recognise their own potential and supporting them as they grow into it.

That philosophy sits at the heart of Yogalina too.

We care about movement, but we also care about connection. We care about getting stronger, but also about slowing down. We care about ambitious goals, but also about creating a life that actually feels good to live.

Yogalina has never been about creating a space where everyone looks or moves the same way.

It’s about creating spaces where people can explore, learn, challenge themselves, connect with others and keep growing.

This is Yogalina

What began as a nickname has grown into studios, retreats, teacher trainings, events, collaborations and, most importantly, a community of people.

And we are still evolving.

We are still learning, experimenting, travelling, training, getting things wrong, discovering better ways of doing things and dreaming about what Yogalina could become next.

Because ultimately, Yogalina isn’t just about yoga.

It’s about creating space for people to move, connect, learn and grow — together.

And then came the people…

Yogalina may have started with one person’s slightly excessive obsession with yoga, but it certainly isn’t one person anymore. Behind everything we do is an incredible collection of teachers, practitioners, coaches, creatives and people who genuinely care about creating meaningful experiences for others. Each person brings something different, their own training, personality, philosophy, energy and life experience — and that diversity is a huge part of what makes Yogalina what it is today.
